PLANNING COMMISSION

 

January 5, 2026                                                                                                             Louisville, NE

The Louisville Planning Commission meeting was held on January 5, 2026 at the Louisville City Hall and called to order by Chairman Jim Ryan at 6:00 p.m. Members present Jason McClun, Jason Sellers, Mandy Wetterberg, and Ben Barenz. Andy Mixan, Dan Huber, and Colby Johnson were absent. Also present were Joel Jones, Public Works Director and guests. Chairman Ryan stated that a copy of the open meetings act is located at the rear of the room.

Wetterberg moves, Sellers seconds to approve the minutes of the October 6, 2025 meeting. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote of those attending.

Sellers moves, McClun seconds to retain the current officers as follows: Chairperson Jim Ryan, Pro-tem Chairperson Mandy Wetterberg, and Secretary Jason Sellers. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote of those attending.

The discussion of tiny homes continued, led by Joel Jones, and the commission is interested in speaking with developers and other zoning authorities for ideas. Joel will reach out to some contacts and bring more information to the next meeting.

Review of Section 4 of the Comprehensive Plan has been postponed to the next meeting.

Sellers moves, Barenz seconds to adjourn the meeting at 6:41 p.m. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote of those attending.
