A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Louisville was held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 6:55 p.m. at the Louisville City Hall. Present were Mayor Rod Petersen, Council Members Jerry McClun, Jamion Biesterfeld and Justin Barnes. Mayor Petersen stated that the Open Meetings Act is posted at the rear of the room and a copy of all meeting materials is available with the clerk.
Notice of the regular meeting was given in advance thereof posting in three (3) public places as shown by the certificate attached to these minutes. Notice was simultaneously given to all council members. Their acknowledgement of receipt of notice and the agenda is attached to these minutes. All proceedings thereafter were taken while the convened meeting was open to the public.
The purpose of the special meeting is the fill the City Council vacancy caused by the resignation of Martyn Myers and will be a term until December 2024. Mayor Petersen nominated Paul Pankonin to fill the vacancy. Barnes moves, McClun seconds to approve the nomination. Roll call vote: ayes – McClun, Biesterfeld, Barnes; nays – none. Motion carried.
Council Member Paul Pankonin then took the oath of office.
Biesterfeld moves, McClun seconds to adjourn the meeting at 6:59 p.m. Roll call vote: ayes – McClun, Biesterfeld, Pankonin, Barnes; nays – none. Motion carried.
